Covid-secure practice

Using the strict guidelines researched and provided by my governing body, the following measures have been put in place in clinic to ensure it is Covid-secure and a comfortable place for you to visit and for me to practise in.

Please familiarise yourself with the changes before you come for treatment.

When treatment won't be possible

If there is a risk that you are infected with Covid-19 or have been in contact  with someone who is, I will be unable to treat you.

All patients will be asked to complete an online Covid-19 screening form on the day before or the day of treatment.

Changes to your clinic experience

You will be asked to wear a disposable surgical face mask while you are in the building.  If you don't have your own, I can provide one for you at a cost of £2.

You will also  be asked to use hand sanitising gel when you enter clinic.

Please attend your appointment alone, unless you need a carer or help with mobility.  If needed, you are welcome to make phone or video calls during your session.

Please observe social distancing when in the clinic.  There is not a great deal of room, but 2-metre distancing is possible.  I will only approach you when necessary during the treatment and will be wearing appropriate PPE at all times.

Changes to payment methods

Cash or cheque payments cannot be accepted for the time being, instead you will be invited to pay either by bank transfer or contactless credit or debit card.

£3 price increase

Unfortunately, I have had to increase my prices by £3 per treatment to cover the ongoing cost of disposable PPE.

I am, however, absorbing all other costs, such as running at reduced capacity due to increased screening and cleaning time.

I will be unable to treat you without the answers to the questions on the form.

If you have any problems filling in the form, please feel free to contact me

Other things that are a little different ...

I'll ask you to hop straight onto the treatment couch when you come into the treatment room.

I will wear a face mask at all times.  As usual, there will be frequent hand washing and sanitising.

Once your needles are in place I will usually leave the treatment room, but I will be within earshot and able to get to you immediately.

The window will be open to provide ventilation.

Sadly, blankets or water cannot be provided for the time being, but feel free to bring your own.  Clean gowns will still be available should they be required.

Lastly, please don't be put off by the scrubs!  I've elected to wear scrubs for the time being just because they're easy to wash at a high temperature.
